It was great getting to see Rieko and Yoko from Morioka again. They are really warm and encouraging every time we are together. The church where they worship is three members strong and they treasure any opportunity they can get to gather with a bigger group. Watching them enjoy and be encouraged by the worship was one of the most rewarding experences from the camp.

The very kind camp staff welcomed us saying, "Okaerinasai! (welcome home!)" and saw us off at the door saying "Itteirashai! (see you again soon!)" It was an unexpected change from the usual konnichiwa and siyonara, and gave us an immediate sense of family, which was especially encouraging since family was the camp theme.

Sasha and I helped with the kid's craft time and had fun making tops, collages with dry pasta and beans, and leaf artwork with paint in fall colors.
Thank you, Lord, for the blessing of time together with our good friends.
