Sunday Mornings

Akiko and Yuko (Mawatari Sensei's daughter) and I usually teach a kids class on Sunday mornings.

The Lord's Prayer

Mark 1:17
I usually make some kind of craft or play a game with the kids so I can model as well as instruct orally. This usually minimizes any confusion caused by my not-quite-there-yet Japanese. :)

Akiko makes great visual aides! I wish I could draw (not to mention write kanji) like she can.

Singing praises to God (かみさま)!

This is where I live

Here are a few pictures of the apartment I share with Akiko, my sweet, generous, hard-working, selfless, encouraging, WONDERFUL roommate! We live about 10 minutes away from work (by bus, 30 to walk) and about the same from the church in Yagiyama. We really love our spacious place. We have plans for the nothing-really-going-on-yet walls, like a not-yet-finished painting I'm working on that was inspired by a necklace my sister-in-law Katie gave me. Big plans, but for the time being, it's probably enough to ask that the apartment of two full-time teachers is even this clean! :) Enjoy.
